Experienced Asphalt Worker
O'Brien Paving is seeking an experienced well rounded asphalt worker who knows the ins and outs of working with asphalt to produce high quality paved surfaces.
You will work on a crew, preparing and paving jobs of all sizes. While we use asphalt pavers for most of our work we require the skill set to be able to complete jobs manually when necessary.
Job duties may include:
- Asphalt Finish Raking (lute-man)
- Asphalt Rough Raking
- Manual Tamping
- Vibrating Plate Tamping
- Machine Rolling
- Working With Asphalt Pavers
- Skid Steer Loading/Excavating
- Skid Steer Rough Grading
- Base Preparation
- Equipment Tie Down
- Reading And Following Basic Site Drawings
- Anything Else Commonly Done On A Paving Crew.
The successful candidate will be chosen for both skills/experience in asphalt work as well as temperament and ability to work well on a crew. Compensation will be based on skills and experience. An employee with the right skill set and temperament that can demonstrate leadership would be looked at for promotion to a crew foreman position when they are ready.
